We just received the email. App Stores should have it within the next 24 hours. We’ll be submitting 2.0 in the next day or two! (Pictures coming then.)

Dishloc 2.0 almost ready…
We haven’t just been sitting on our butts here. DishLoc 2.0 is almost ready, and while we believe (although some may argue) 1.0 was better then our competition, 2.0 is going to blow them out of the water! Things like Favorite Satellites, Search, Nearest Satellite Guide, setting the manual direction for those of you iPhone users without a compass. A few bug fixes mixed in as well of course. No such thing as a perfect app.
Now if only 1.0 would be approved. We don’t want to delay 1.0 further by submitting a new binary.

When will DishLoc 1.0 be approved?
Nobody likes this waiting game. Its been two weeks since I first tried to submit DishLoc 1.0, and since it was really iffy at the time, I decided to email Apple support to make sure they actually got it. My competition is getting too many sales! They reply quickly enough that they are indeed looking at my app. Thanks for throwing me a bone, Apple!

Doh!
Searching through the app store for competition, I just noticed that another dish pointing app just got approved. 
They even have a video out, but fortunately, DishLoc 1.0 works better. It does look somewhat similar (they only show the augmented view) but all augmented reality apps look similar because they all use the same camera and same display. Only the bottom would really change. Also for satellites he has little red dots on the clarke belt. (The ‘belt’ around the earth where the geostationary satellites live.) I don’t see how that could be useful, but if we get any requests we can add it.
Oddly enough, they already have 3 glowing 5-star reviews. One of them is their forum supplier (satelliteguys.us) so I’m a little suspicious.

Successfully submitted DishLoc 1.0!
The iTunes Connect problems SEEM to be fixed. I’ve successfully submitted DishLoc 1.0. We have a ton of ideas for the next version, so we’ll see if we can get version 2.0 finished before 1.0 is approved!

Still having problems with iTunes Connect.
Still no luck uploading our app. I can’t seem to get past uploading the Large Icon. (Just keeps freezing.) I’ll keep trying though.

DishLoc 1.0 is ready!
We’ve finished development and testing on DishLoc 1.0, an augmented reality dish locator for the iphone! I just tried to submit it to Apple, but there seems to be a problem with iTunes Connect. I’ll keep trying though! Here’s a couple of screenshots: (more…)
